Experience & Awards

The nearly 30 years of residential building experience are by far R.A. Praught’s most important credential and the one we are most proud of. R.A. Praught is also a member of the National Association for the Remodeling Industry (NARI). Ray and Michael are both NARI Certified Remodelers. Ray is also a NARI Universal Design Certified Remodeler as well as a past President and board member of the NARI Central Virginia chapter. The readers of R Home magazine have twice voted R.A. Praught “Richmond’s favorite General Contractor”.

Recently, RA Praught Construction redeveloped our first floor bedroom and master bathroom. The bathroom included a full size bathtub, walk-in shower, heated floor, stone tile and cherry wood cabinetry. The fixtures provide subtle support for aging visitors. The bedroom included hardwood floors, built-in bookshelves and new French doors to the patio. We were immensely pleased with RA Praught - their work is of the highest quality and their subcontractors/craftsmen were skilled, polite, and neat. We highly recommend RA Praught Construction.
